After twenty years of servitude, Neon Black was granted a formal hearing to determine eligibility for a neural uplink - digital immortality - via UIT Capitol Senate trial. A chance to earn his freedom in Latos and citizenship within the UIT. As is the Latosian custom, and unspoken law of greyspace, Neon Black was given his choice of ship and was challenged to defeat a local champion in single combat - risking his mortality for freedom from it... The duel was swift and decisive. Neon Black emerged victorious, winning his independence and citizenship within the UIT in the year 4438...

Not much is known about Lieutenant Black in the years that followed his absolution and digital indoctrination into the free-flying immortal class. Data missing from Record. It is rumored that he began his free years flying for the notorious [FAMY] "La Familia" greyspace extortion racket under the alias "Hippopotamus Hustler". Sources indicate that Hippopotamus Hustler was trained in one-on-one combat, tactics, and politics by greyspace radicalists such as Footballprophet, Nahin Lor, and TheRedSpy. "Hippo" left a life of crime to spend time learning trade mechanics and manufacturing systems from esteemed greyspace conglomerate Phoenix Alliance [PA], flying under Mulle Barap and J.A. Keller in 4438. "Neon Black" resurfaced again in 4439 when Corvus conquerable stations in greyspace began offering capital-class vessel manufacturing possibilities...

The Record notes that during an extended holo-vid simulation of the Caribbean coast, Neon Black fell asleep and was drastically burned by the simulated rays of Old Sol, giving a permanent red hue to his delicately prosthetic Union-gold skin..."

Founded in late 4439 by TheRedSpy, Prinv and I, Trident Capital Manufacturing Group [TRI] quickly became a powerhouse greyspace manufacturing guild, capitalizing on the new market for Trident Type-M components. Our approach was that of neutrality over diplomacy, honor and respect over a show of force: an organization in greyspace dedicated to making all the most enjoyable aspects of game play accessible to everyone.

Trident Arms Syndicate as it stands today is a political anomaly, and a curious ideological entity. No one runs [TRI] and the neutral ideals cannot be combated in any traditional sense, and yet it is one of a kind in that it has no formal alliances or political ties - running almost entirely internally. A handful of agreements between members as to neutral external conduct and a flat-hierarchical guild protocol and it basically runs itself.

My role as I view it in [TRI] is that of helpful extremist. I captain Trident Class-M vessels for any number of purposes, I like to build and mine and to share my knowledge of the 'verse with others, and I like to fight. I REALLY like to fight... Advanced combat skills through mastery of the many styles and techniques is inspiration to collect and sell advanced weapons and equipment to the masses, urging all to explore the depths of their immortality and the limit of their comprehension...
